Mounting the last few engine bay parts

I'm finally at the point of getting the last few parts mounted in the engine bay, that is the coil/ignitor assembly and windscreen washer bottle.

The coil and ignitor are bolted together with a factory bracket and mounted as one piece. The assembly has to be mounted to the car body so it is electrically grounded. I used a couple of rivnuts in the bulkhead to mount them in a location where the ignition lead did not interfere with other parts.

As I wasn't sure what condition the ignition leads were in, I had already purchased a set of four new spark plug cables (Bosch Super Sport) but the set did not include an HT Coil lead. Both the distributor cap and the coil on this engine (EP82 Toyota Starlet) use ignition cable ends/connectors that are a smaller diameter than the common ones I've usually seen and none of my local auto parts stores seemed to stock them so I had to get the HT Coil ignition lead custom made to a length that suited my application.

I waited until I next removed the engine to do the windscreen washer bottle. I had some room in the engine bay next to the master cylinders for it but I had to find a suitable size bottle that would clear the bonnet (when closed), drivers side bonnet hinge/brake master cylinder/accelerator cable on the sides and subframe tower bolts underneath. There are various sized universal washer bottles available so I made a cardboard template of the largest bottle size possible and simply chose a suitable one from eBay. The one I purchased was 18cm H x 12cm W x 10cm D.

Within the bonnet closed and the bottle sitting on a few pieces of wood, I confirmed the clearance was okay around the bottle.

The bottle has a plastic bracket onto which the bottle slides onto. It was a simple job to make a mount for the plastic bracket.
