Dump pipe design update

After recently fitting the engine in the shell (the first time in 4 1/2 years!) and starting to fit some ancillary parts, I was once again unsatisfied with how I had made something the first time around. Improving previous designs/fabrication to a better quality seems to be a common theme for me lately.

The issue this time was the very close proximity of the dump pipe to the front brace bar and front apron panel. I really don't know how much the engine will move around once running, so I decided to cut away most of the lower part of the dump pipe off and adjust the angle of the lower part it so that it has more clearance.

Before the work, the dump pipe had less than 5mm clearance and was probably prone to fouling against the front bar :

It now has approx 15 mm clearance :

The bend in the dump pipe has changed from a single 90 degree bend to using two 45 degree bends. This was for no practical reason - they were just the bends I had access to at the time. The photo below shows the original down pipe (which was cut off) on the left and the updated design on the right. Note the different vertical angle of the new down pipe which provides the extra clearance.
