Underbody cover and subframe captive nuts

Both front floor pans (footwells) have been replaced with two new panels, however the replacement panels don't come with any captive nuts for the underbody cover pieces  - these cover pieces (sometimes known as "skid plates") bolt onto the underside of the floor pan to cover and protect the fuel lines, brakes line & battery cable from damage.

Today's short job was to bolt the floor pan covers on, mark the spot for the 2 missing nuts per cover, drill holes, flip the shell upright and weld on 4 new nuts (2 for the left cover in passenger footwell; 2 for the right cover in drivers footwell) inside the cabin. I used a nut, bolt and a welding magnet to hold the nut in place, then slowly move the bolt around make sure the bolt is roughly centred in the hole and not hard up against the hole I've drilled.

Holes drilled and minor surface rust removed in the passenger footwell :

Nuts held in place and welded in :

The other two holes in the right hand upper side of the photos are the holes for bolting on the subframe "rear wing" bolts and I chose to weld on nuts there too (the holes had been redrilled some time ago). Now if the subframe needs to be removed once the build is complete, I won't have to pull back the carpet to hold and undo the nuts.
