After finishing the gear selector cable mounts yesterday, something about it was bugging me - the fact that the clevis-type pin that one of the cable ends slides over was pointing down. Even though it would be held in place with a circlip, it would be potentially fatiguing that single circlip and if it ever failed, the cable end could dislodge from the pin and I would lose ability to change gears. So to put my mind at rest, I spent 10 minutes today and quickly cut & rewelded the lever so that it was pointing UP.
