Everything ready for cleaning

All engine parts are now dismantled and ready for cleaning. I borrowed a gear puller from a mate and removed the crankshaft pulley tonight. Unfortunately the main shaft on the gear puller was a very close match to the diameter of the pulley bolt I removed so if I put the conical tip from the gear puller (as seen in pics below) straight into where the pulley bolt was, it would have stripped the pulley thread so I made up a little piece that the puller shaft would use to push against instead.

Unfortunately after I got the pulley off, I managed to drop it and break a piece of it off!

I am EXTREMELY paranoid about sealing everything to prevent any ingress of water or blasting media in the engine because it is so abrasive. To ensure that NO water or blasting media can get into the engine, I cleaned around the injector ports, squeezed and inserted and couple of foam earplugs in and then covered them in silicon sealer. Because I'm only getting a light blast done (because it's an alloy engine block), the blasting media will "bounce" off the silicon and earplugs and not penetrate into the intake and piston area.
For the intake and exhaust ports, and water pump port I applied some gasket maker and then bolted on the MDF blanking pieces (you can see the copper-based gasket goo squeezed out a little in the above pic)
