Mag painting finished

The painting of the set of mags have finally been finished (back & front). I was thinking about using enamel which is a naturally harder paint, but I already had clear coat etc for acrylic so I went that way. Over the powdercoat, I painted 2 coats of primer, 10 coats of paint and 5 coats of clear (all light coats). Sure it's probably a little overboard but I wanted to make sure there was a good thickness of paint overall. I did this in my paint booth with the compressor & gun and can't imagine how you could get a really nice finsh like this with just paint cans! I've never painted mags before so fingers crossed once fully cured they will be resilient enough to withstand the stone chips etc on the road.

I chose another Ford colour (for no particular reason apart from it looked nice against the Ford Blood Orange) but specifically chose a silver that has a metallic shadow chrome look through it rather than ending up with your common silver colour.
