It’s been about 2 months since we moved into the new house so I’ve been busy painting, tiling, paving etc etc but had a couple of weekends free to start on setting up the workshop. I’ve got a 4.5 x 2.5m workshop off the rear of the garage which will contain a small 2 x 1.5m paint booth as well as my workbench. The paint booth is all but finished - fully sealed with ignition protected extraction fan (Actually a marine bilge blower than moves 6600 Litres of air per minute open flow) for removing fumes and solvents, and inlet filters to prevent dust from entering the booth. It was built mainly for my gauge pods but will be using it to paint some Mini parts as well.
The booth has a proper framework and space for my compressor, shelves for paint tins etc good flouro lighting inside as well. The steel for the workbench has been bought and welding to begin soon - after I get some practice done and my arc welding skills back up to scratch so the welds don't look like pigeon poo!
Finished booth - complete with inlet dust filters to the left of the door
Inside the booth. Range Hood with fan yet to be mounted
